looking to head out towards birch island,or six mile. Wondering what the conditions were around long island,ice? how much? any help would be great,save me a trip.

There is 8" to 9" of semi soft ice all the way to the ozone. I think a pressure ridge pushed up out there as usual, but I know guy have there houses all the way out and driving wheeler's to them. Lot's of slush, and who know after tonite.

I was out at Long Island a couple years ago during Derby when we got those 70-80mph winds. Man that was a bad year, I've heard that area gets alot of wind though??
