they are showing warm temps but the end of the week.  lower 40's then upper 20's at night.  That only lasts two days.  Then shows mid 30's lower 20's.  but with all this snow and 15 inches of ice i think we are still all set.  I mean come on its February in MA we will get more cold

The ice is gonna be there for a while.

Late ice is gonna suck a lot, though.  I'd bet a lot of people will go through with all the frozen slush that's going to look safe and be several inches thick but not hold anything heavier than a swedish pimple.  Buy your spuds now if you don't have one already!

i fine. this slush is fun. the only thing i'm worried about are the holes in the ice, found one yesterday about 4 ft wide. just barely made it out under the slush and i was heading straight for it. be careful guys

Gotta watch out for the eroded holes!  It is supposed to get real cold over the next few nights though.  I'll be fishing after work on Friday.....supposed to be in the mid 30's which could not be more perfect!  Be fishing in a sweatshirt and jeans.

I hear from my boss today that a man drowned in the cape yesterday dont know how true but I was fishing peters pond 3 weeks a go and they only had about 3 1/2 "any one know this story to be true?

this is an outdated post... ya i was seeimg honey-comb ice, and HUGE hole, blah blah blah, i'm not sinking though slush n/e more..... i don't want to think spring is on the way..... the biggest reminder are the robbins, "AND THIS POST!!!!!!" make it go away, PLEASE!!!!!!

Seems to be almost true.  Two guys went through recently, both survived.  One was biking on the pond and fell into a hole, the other was fishing.  Spuds and picks, guys.  Spuds and picks...
