yep, theres a typical days catch, about time too.  we'll be fishing it friday.  After 104 pickeral in the past 3 days, its about time, ice fishing is getting boring, time to get after something wothwhile

oh come on guys, just getting excited....I mean the river is finally freezing, its like the anticipation on the year for me since that is the shortest ice one gets anywhere - rivers are last to freeze and first to defrost.  Plus its the easiest place to catch walleye, so why not get excited.

Wow...a guy posts hes anxious to get out on the ice on the river and guys with 4 and 5 posts start ripping into him....no wonder the few guys who told me about this site told me its probably not worth joining...

I've been out on the river a few times so far this season north of the PA border and took a few eyes for dinner each time out....guess I'm one of them redneck meat hunters...also guess since I'll take a limit a few times a year for a disabled neighbor who can't fish anymore that I'm even more of a meat hunter...

my best day on the river was 171 eyes in 8 hours thru the ice....how tell me someplace else in this state, hell, within a 10 hours drive of anywhere in PA, that I could get even half that many in a day and I'll fish there instead...

let the guy fish the river, take a limit or two and let that be the end of it...its not like he or anyone else on the planet will ever fish it out or even put a dent in the population for that matter...the number of fish in the 4-5" range I've gotten over the past few years is simply ridiculous and you can't possibly tell me the state stocks them that heavily...

Theres no better eating fish than a walleye in the river.I fish the Susky yearly and put bass back,but walleye come home for the pan.

Anyone who wants to get out on the river had better do it this weekend as the warmer days coming up may destroy the ice and who knows if it'll be back if that happens...

Fished it today for a little over an hour and a half and landed over 40 eyes (1 legal) and missed over 100 hits....all on a 3/8oz jighead and a white twister tail....also landed my 1st bronzeback thru the ice

I think I needa learn to keep my mouth shut....was all alone yesterday and drove by about a half hour ago to see 8 guys already out in my spot and 2 more trucks that had just pulled up...I personally don't think the ice can handle that much as it was only 4.5" thick yesterday and rocking....I actually got seasick ice fishing....I'd hate to hear the ice broke loose and they floated down river....or worse

Good thing I know other spots that very few people know about

Everyone left by noon complaining how the fish weren't hitting so I fish it from 2pm till a bit after 5...picked off a fish here or there until 4pm when it was a fish on as soon as a jig hit the bottom  Landed 6 or 7 legals and took 2 for breakfast tomorrow

Its the same thing every year at that hole....I'm the first one out 1 day and then the next theres always a bunch...no one is willing to take the chance on being the first and wait until they see 1 person out and immediately call every fisherman they know telling them the ice is good to go for the next day
