Night fishing?
« on: Jan 12, 2008, 09:53 PM »
I have just started to get into ice fishing this year and i cannot seem to get enough.  There it something about getting your fish and drink on while on a frozen lake that i love.
Anyways i see a few people on George town fishing at night.  I spoke with one gentleman and he said he was fishing for kokes.  How is this done? Do you put a light in the hole or what?  If this does work i can just see my wife now when i stop coming home after work.  If anyone does this id love hearing how its done

There`s a lot of fun to be had in fishin at night,I always figured thats when the big ones come to surface to chow down.Tip ups,the setlines of the ice ponds set up with the proper bait for the fish You want to catch then sit back and drink a lot of beer and whiskey and every 1/2 hour or so run the circuit and see how many tipups ya got with the flags flying.not much to doin that and ya dont need some kind of underwater lantern so the fish can see the bait,They`ll find it.

I haven't got to try it yet either, but I got one of those green underwater lights for Christmas from my wife.  I want to try it out at night for Crappie.  Haven't ever fished for them either.  Curious to see how differently fish act on the video camera...
