Lindy Rattl'n Flier Spoons
« on: Jan 04, 2008, 12:24 PM »
Has anyone had any luck fishing Nebraska waters with the Lindy Rattl'n Flier Spoons?

I have thought about purchasing said spoons and just want some feedback.

I was fishing a shallow snadhills lake last weekend.  Didnt catch anything on it but I had a minnow head on it and Id jig the heck out of it for a little while till some marks showed up on the flasher then Id pull that up and send down a marmooska jig tipped with a waxie and catch a fish.  So I deffinately got the perch curious enough to come in for a look anyway.

Interesting concept.

What would happen if one would remove the hook and use a 4" dropper to the Marmooska or even smaller jig?

Thanks for the reply.

I imagine it would be worth a try.  The other hot bait I used that day was a hali with a dropper chain tipped with a couple waxies.

Have used Hali droppers for a few years.  Worked real well on crappies at Erickson and Sherman.  Also caught some nice perch on them.  I'm always looking for the new "hot lure."  Or should I say that I am a sucker for a new lure.

I still have a bunch of them, or I should say, I have some that I made from the same mold and painted to look just like Go-Devils.

We had our best luck at Sherman last year on white Swedish Pimples.

I may end up at Sherman today.  Got a good report at work last night.  The guys had pics of 12 walleye on the ice and they caught a few around 8# they said.  Running tip-ups with shiners.  Said the only caught some crappie jigging.

Don't know what is happening here.  The four wheeler is still being worked on and that kind of hinders the movement at Sherman.  So might just have to watch football.............. ......what a shame.
