WAS JUST WONDERING WHY JOHN WAS CLOSED BUT DIDNT KNOW IF HE WAS REOPENING... ANY INFO WOULD BE COOL ANY OTHER GOOD BAIT SHOPS CLOSE TO portland area couldnt find leftys list ........thanks guys.....

there is a guy on FOWLER RD in Cape Elizabeth, big Brown Farm house, with Great pond in the back yard, has TONS of bait in his Garage.  Is also a game checker, has the sign outside.  Wanna say like 300 fowler rd, but not sure.. 8)

The "Outpost" closed sometime during last summer, I didn't talk to the owner and am not sure why he closed.  About a month or two ago the shop reopened as "The Fishin Hole." I went in there about 3 weeks ago and got bait and signed up for the bait club.  The new guy was extremely nice and they had very good shiners.  A week later he called me and let me know that he would be sending me a check for the $5 deposit I paid for the bait club because the shop was closing up.  He said that the Fishin Hole couldn't work out a lease with the owner of the building and they were heading back to their home-base which I think he said was Buxton. 

I live like 2 miles from the Outpost and this has destroyed my bait hookup.  I went to Johnson's in Portland on Saturday, and although I don't care for their bait normally they actually had some of the best quality shiners I have gotten in years.  But someone needs to open a bait shop in South Windham so I don't have to keep driving to Johnsons!!!!!

John is a good friend of mine. i know he closed the shop this summer, and i know it was 'the fishin hole' for a fewmonths, not sure if they left or not though. He may have even sold or is trying to sell his place???

The outpost is closed . I got my bait at Allens farm on RT. 26 . They said they will have shiners all winter .  They seemed like good shiners today ,But the fish kept spitting them out ??

i`ve had issues with there bait before bad water or something they always die and same thing fish spit em out dont know gonna try the tackle shop or that fowler road place thats close to my house........

not sure about the number, but I think he is open all the time.  because if he isn't in the garage where his shop is, you ring the doorbell.

Thanks Buddah picked up some good looking bait there today   .  I think its the closest place to me now that the outpost is closed .

Went to dad's today and it was great.  Got lots of bait and a load of excellent advice.  Lots of tips that i had never even considered.  Can't wait to give it a try.
