You might want to try West Rosebud If you are in the Billings area. It was a little slow last week but we still caught fish. Try crawlers and salad shrimp on a regular hook. Evening seems to be the best time.

Hey deadeyerik.
I am familar with west rosebud, do you fish the first lake or the second lake,I havent been there for a few years, but last time I was there, there was a sign saying something about unstable ice or something like that,is the sign still there? And if so , how is the ice. What have you been catching there? Have you ever fished East Rosebud lake out of Roscoe, I have heard that it is good also.Talk to you later.

I've never fished east Rosebud. You want to fish the second lake. the one with the d@m. justgo straight out from the parking lot about 1/3 of the way out. should be able to see the  holes. Last week I was driveing on the lake. About 20". Don't know what the warm weather has done to it but I'm sure it is still good. I've been catching Browns up to 18" & rainbows up to 12". Use crawlers with an orange marshmellow, or salad shrimp on a treble hook has been working for me. Leave one of the trebles open for a better hook set. good luck. I'm not sure now but we may go there this weekend.

Im thinking about headed up to Dailey this weekend with a friend.  I have never been there before and was wondering where I could get into any fish. I see on the fwp website that there are perch and walleye in there??  Are they of significant size or about 12" wallys and 5-6"perch?  Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's perch, walleye and trout. The perch are mostly 6-8"(they seem a little bigger this year) my experience has shown 11" is a good fish there.  I have never caught a walleye there, if I hadn't seen two 12"ers swim by my camera a few years back I would swear there were none.  I haven't been to dailey in about a month, last there it was pretty slow.  I found a few perch biting in 18 fow.  I've had some phenomenal perch days and just as many slow days. If there's no wind, the crowds are a good indication where the fish are biting. good luck
