Has anyone used these light up slip bobbers before for night fishing? More specfically, while ice fishing ??? In NYS you can use 5 tip ups and 2 hand helds. I usually put one a rod holder an actively jig with other. Do these things work well for ice fishing at night ???

I dont see why they wouldnt work.  I use them all summer for walleye fishing and they work pretty good, batteries are cheap.  Thats actually a pretty good idea fishing in the shanty, one jig rod, one float rig.

I use them, but only in the shack...they freeze up too easy when they are outside, unless you have a nice warm late ice evening with temps in the mid 30's.
