Is there any special regulations for puting your car on lake Champlain?

Sorry, I wasn't specific enough. I meant can I just drive right out as long as I have a license plate, or is there some special off road registration I have go through like with an atv?

nope you can drive on out if you would like, but I would never think of it this year the way the ice is no matter how thick it is.

The lake is considered a roadway and all the normal rules apply, DUI, speeding(can't remember the speed limit but there is one), etc.

I belive the speed limit is 50 mph, the same for snowmobiles on the lake.
