Yep, hit a small enclosed bay.   Just a couple fish, but I got out.

Well fellas, Im down here in the southwest corner of the state and today when I was walking to class the pond i walk by on the way there was pretty frozen.  With the temps ive been hearing for later this week we should have some nice hard ice on the back waters of the Miss. down here.  I guess all I can do is pray for some very cold temps and consistent weather.  That or I give up and move up north

Where were you fishing?  The northern lakes should really hbe making good ice with this cold weather.  Hope to get out sooner rather than later.

   How are the lakes doing around Menomonie or Eau Claire?

Been on Butch's Bay in Menomonie 3 times,limited out every time.One gill last week went on the wall...Today was funny,two guys near fishing where I like to jig,asked them how they were doing,said getting a few,15 minutes later I was walking off the lake with 10 panfish.The looks on thier faces was priceless!   Gotta love having a hot jig!!!
