day 4 of 5 on wabigoon
« on: Dec 13, 2007, 10:26 PM »
Well the omens were bad from the beginning,

The weather network are only ever right it seems when predicting BAD weather, never mind that the report suddenly changed at 10pm last night, 2 hrs before it said variable sun/cloud and max 10kmh winds, then all of a sudden last night i check before bed and hey presto, suddenly we go from no snow predicted to over 10cm forecast overnight and 30kmh North wind as well, great...Blizzard.

The morning was calm but within half an hour from 9:30-10am up came the wind, then more snow(it dumped closer to a foot overnight), my buddy who was fishing was on the phone 5 mins later...."uh....do ya think we should?" he says...."nah....out in the open we're gonna struggle" i says....and that was that....day 4 of 5 was off...oh well :-\

So after a day trying to dig my garage outta a snow drift the wind suddenly dropped to a fishable level, and i was off...like a rat out of an aquaduct...within half hour had 2 holes drilled and 2 lines down, i only had half an hour though cuz of guests for dinner and i had not even peeled a potato yet. Well i thought i would at least get a bite...but no...nuffink...zip...n ada.

Well the Weather network says its gonna be a beautiful, if cold day tomorrow, low winds and no snow....i aint gonna jinx myself and look before bed...lol....so hopefully day 5 of 5's report will be better. See you all tomorrow.
