Wow.  Now thats structure.  Wish we had an organization like that around here to put structure in our featureless lakes.  The D.N.R doesnt seem to have the money or the willpower to do that to anything around here.  Good thing people take matters into their own hands!  Good job!

I can't imagine putting that tree in the boat and then trying to dump it off.  I would be afraid of capsizing!

There were two boats furnished and operated by the DNR. They had all the trees cut and at the ramps when the club members showed up. These boats are special made for the DNR and are like tanks. There was no problem rolling the trees off the side. Took 4 - 6 block per tree to sink them.  Great Project. Today they are doing the same in Saylorville , but I am unable to attend that one.

BC is full of tree piles . I didn't get any cords , I think you can find cords on the DNR site. They asked us if their site was being used to the fullest. There are many paths and links on the site , but I haven't checked them out yet.

Heres a link to the Big Creek map. http://www.iowadnr.com/parks/images/maps_pictures/bigcreekmap.pdf
It shows some of the previous fish attractor spots. The new ones probably aren't on there yet, but I'll be sure to be looking for the crowd on the ice.
