Setting up bait on a quick strike rig

How do you guys put your bait on the quick strike rig??  And do you do anything with your bait?  Do you let it thaw?  Keep it frozen..??  Any tips would be awesome!

Does anyone soak them in anything?  Someone told me soak them in salt water...??  So you guys would thaw them out first?
