for a first time user i was impressed with it .especailly with the split zoom in flasher mode.it was nice to always keep your eyes on the bottom 6 feet.i have never used any other flashers so i have nothing to compare to.the only thing that i found that if you had my lure about 6 inches off the bottom the signal would bounce back and forth from the bottom to the lure.if i kept my lure a foot from the bottom then it didn't do that.i had a nice space between the bottom and my lure then.like i say i'm totally new to flashers.everyone talks about the fl-18 would be nice to see how one works now to compare.
