Just to see if anyone is watching out there. We are going to get our first below freezing temps for the year. Yeah I know, it's to early, the water is still to warm and 31 degrees is nothing to write home about.

But it's a start, it's October, and if it portends the start of the next ICE season, well break out the beer, that is unless your still pounding the open water and having some luck. I have a honey hole for big crappie and thats going to keep me busy till first ice.

i cant wait intill the ice seasons begins. to me the cooler temps are the best time of the year. i fell most alive, it is exciting starting to see subfreezing temps tho

I couldnt agree more..it was so nice and crisp out. Enough with the record breaking warm October. Lets have a record cold November!

and december and hanuary and febuary and march it would be nice. we need to  make up for all the warmth
