Does anyone have one or know someone who has one? If so how do you/they like it compared to a vex?

I'm not familiar with the LX-1 but I bought a VX-1 this year and LOVE it.  I fished side by side with a couple of Vex users and my unit seems to work as well and is actually simpler in my eyes.  Over all for the price and operation I would highly reccomend it! 8) 8)

The LX-i is a handheld unit for checking depth. It works great. Keep it warm tho or it wont work worth a darn. The VX-1 is the new marcum unit that retails for $230 or something like that. I got one for 200 during the rebate sale on it. It is great, it has a good zoom but its not adjustable like the LX-5. It doesnt get interfered much by other units either. If you are actually talking about a LX-1 i havent seen it and would like to see a pic of it!!

Corection, the LX-1 is a flasher ,the LXI is a handheld unit. The LX1 has been discontinued and replace by the VX-1.
