a negative response to the negativity was expected. try selling the idea to the DNR. They are the ones with the most influence to make changes to any laws related to fishing. I have no misunderstanding of the purpose of the Jaw Jacker or Automatic Fisherman. making changes to any law requires more than a poll signed by folks. If that were the case they would have allowed scopes on muzzleloaders by now, & many other changes to the various laws in place. I'm a fan the old school. I've been too busy fishing to monitor this silly thread. Good luck & tight lines

I admire you Jon, for exercising your 1st amendment right to free speech on this matter that you judge silly.     :flex:

I see that degrading remark as a feeble attempt to pull the flush handle on this poll, championed by logic and common sense.     ;D

The DNR will see and hear a louder voice with a poll that gets looked at, studied by biologist and hopefully, sent on up the line of command.   If the light comes on as regards the common sense of this idea, maybe it will get legislation for a change of antiquated, thick-headed methods that are rife in the beautiful State of Minnesota.

May you have good catching with your fishing, Jon.    ;)2

Remember the release debacle for bows? fish cam?......even been kicked off the ice because someone called the police...hennipen county.deputy said its not safe..4" of great clear ice.. ::)

We got a few odd rules here too......but nothing like in MN

What was there threat from the police to you if you didn't leave ? You were not breaking no law. It states in the mn dnr 4 inches of ice is good to go, even shows a picture. Another reason why I don't like 90% of our law enforcement. Just pushing there badge around. There just like meter maids, just handing out tickets.
