What's in a Laker...check the tummy...

Sweetie and I were out on Cold Lake for a couple of hours...this one was interested in my hook..and we don't know why.

Got it home...took a picture...


and started cleaning it for supper...and this is what we found...a small herring with a stinger, and another stinger..and if
you are squeamish or belong to Peta...close your eyes..

Thats cool to know he was still eating and swimming around fine(was untill the laker queen got to him)

Ouch, those two treble hooks would not be very pleasant to have in one's stomach.
I think you may have spared that laker alot of pain in the future. :P

A neat story and nice laker littleoldlady.
Fish have a way of hitting when you are least prepaired don't they. ;D

thats neat, I always check the stomachs of fish I keep. Gives you some incite into what they are feeding on to help you out next time your on the water

Nice fish, and those hooks look like they'd be a bit uncomfortable. Last year I found a spark plug in a Laker's stomach. I definitely didn't expect that. The only thing I can think of is, some people use them for sounders, the Laker must have grabbed it.
