FYI-Open water on the Tanana
« on: Jan 19, 2007, 03:56 AM »
Just in case anyone was wondering, there is some open water on the river (about a mile down river of the mouth of the Chena).  My buddy found it tonight.  Oh what fun we had getting his sled out.  Rhonda (his sled) was saved.  Now to see if we can get it runnning.  Good times in Fairbanks!

I will bet your partner was a little surprised.  Glad no one was hurt, execpt maybe Ronda.  If she is anything like the Chef's Peggy, she won't even be bothered by it.

Your Buddy wouldn't be from Colorado is he? Those Broncos just haven't learned how to leap yet.
Was it his first trip?

He broke through east of the boat ramp on the south side.  Lucky for him there was almost no current.
