Fletchers pond
« on: Jan 16, 2007, 09:27 AM »
Anyone ice fish west southwest of jacks landing near the old rail line that is submerged? Was wondering how deep it is near there? If it would be worthwhile trying there. Seems most people congregate out front of the dnr site or Jacks. Is this because the fishing is best here or just most convenient? Trying to target perch mainly. Any info would be appreciated. Waiting to see when I can get a couple of days off to fish.

You could check the DNRs site for lake maps, most have depths.   www.michigan.gov/dnr  They may or may not have Fletchers.

I have never ice fished at Fletchers, but i have gone there in the summer.  From what I remember the railroad tracks are the deepest spot in the lake and there are some big fish sitting down there.  My brother caught a nice pike there and I had a huge Largemouth on that snapped my line.
