With respect to the locked gate...there's a state piece that has no trees left, but otherwise it's all private. The state piece has always been land locked. The private was purchased from Plum Creek and SPP Montana. Plumb Creek and subsequent owners have always been selling the waterfront land as they're more of a real estate broker than a timber company anymore. Then the reservation behind that. There's access to the entire lake if you drive or walk. You can walk almost anywhere on that lake in 15 minutes pulling a sled. Better enjoy the view while you can because it's going to look a lot like a subdivision before too long.
