Devils Lake Report

Small lakes around the area have been froze for a couple of weeks and there is between 4-8 inches of ice.  The pike fishing on these smaller lakes so far has been excellent.  Devils Lake is entirely froze over and people are starting to fish the smaller bays.  Ice thickness ranges for 3-4 inches.  Lows below zero and highs only in the single digits should have us out on ATV's by next weekend.  Cant wait to get after those Jumbos again.

Were about ready to start chasing the jumbos here in SD too. I think I'll try the Crappies tomorrow.

Good luck with those crappies Dawg!  If by the end of Dec. I bag a few eyes and a few jumbo's I'll be a happy camper.  I just can't wait to get out on the ice.  Soon my friend, real soon :)  Post the results - can't wait to see em!!!

What a great feeling to get back out on the ice.  I would have been happy just getting back out today but we got into some really good walleye fishing.  They all ranged from 13-22 inches and were very aggressive.  We even managed to pick up some Jumbos in 6 ft of water.  Shallow water at early ice is a lot of fun.  Cant wait to get back out tomorrow.
