Flex Power Tools 24V Drill w/K-Drill?
« on: Dec 20, 2021, 01:05 PM »
Drill crapped out this fall and I came across this new company, Flex Power Tools via Lowe's. Their hammer drill is 24V, has 1400 in/lb torque, gets 150 more RPMs than the Milwaukee Fuel and has a lifetime warranty for any products purchased before 12/31/21. Has any pulled the trigger on one of these? Or even better paired it with an auger?  Right now you can grab one at Lowe's for $179.99 and it includes a 5ah battery and a 2.5ah battery w/charger. This setup is on the heavier side compared to Dewalt/Milwaukee but I would use this for ice fishing 95% of the time...

I dont think any IS member has dipped their toe into the Flex line up ..it does meet the specifications (certin models)..and has an attractive price ..maybe after the 25th the videos and on ice reviews will come out . It seems that both Lowes and ACME tools sells them ..I really havent seen any deals per se other than the price point .

Did you go to his link?  it's not like some random people reviewing something they just bought, it's a website that actually does benchmark tests and they speak pretty highly of it.  I might pick one up.

I did, I watch some other ones from him too. It was beating out Dewalts and Milwaukee on just about everything

when this one craps out be sure to let us know what you buy next. At that price why not just spend a few extra dollars and get a good one that's proven. I wish I knew how many of these posts have been on here since the drill/auger thing started.

Name a proven drill that's anywhere in the ballpark torque wise of this for a few extra dollars.

My understanding is it's all the same as the Kobalt power tools

Just like the brand at Walmart Hart my understanding is Kobalt makes those as well. But I could have been given false information

Flex has been around for 90 years and is older than most companies actually.

FLEX
Originating from its German engineering and manufacturing heritage, the FLEX brand dates back over 90 years. FLEX builds professional tools for professional craftsmen. FLEX invented and manufactured the very first angle grinder in 1954. FLEX joined CHERVON in 2013 and continues to serve its demanding customers.

Founded in 1922, FLEX developed the world’s first handheld grinder with a flexible shaft in 1954. The name FLEX became synonymous with the angle grinder in the German language. Through continuous innovation and scrupulous precision and quality, FLEX has earned its reputation for quality and performance.

FLEX joined CHERVON in 2013 to combine the two enterprises’ strengths, experience, and manufacturing capabilities. FLEX largely operates independently – including German manufacturing headquartered in Germany.

4th season? As far as I can tell flex was just started this year.

I had a new garage door installed yesterday.  The technician was bragging on his new Flex drill.  He usually runs Milwaukee M18s but he said his new Flex drill could spin his door spring tensioner when the M18 could not.  He really liked it.

Something was wrong, ANY Fuel with ANY battery will turn a door tensioner.
