Who gives a rats ass what a guy from Michigan thinks about a New Hampshire fishery he knows nothing about just tune him out don't let him get to you. Joe you do what you have been doing for years we all understand and appreciate it I'm sure you have more knowledge in the end of your finger than he has period...... WE NEED ICE!!!
LOLOL, actually that is the first time I have ever used that line! I challenge you to find where I've said it before, by copying it and posting it on this thread. Please add the thread's title so "everyone" can find it! Get your facts str8.
I am not a well.man.. I dunno. I'm greasing tubes, changing leaderss and tuning action.. what's wrong with me
Hey Joe,First - this whole industry is built on us being excessive - and many an item is made to catch the fisherman and not fish... so have at it. Plus you make them all yourself, and since the making is as much of a hobby as the fishing, so why wouldn't you have plenty if you enjoy making them (it isn't like you'd only go fishing a limited number of times). Anyway, I was more curious about the traps you have with the smaller spools. I know you are a fan of 4" spools for easy/better triggering, do you have a specific reason you have smaller spools on some of your traps, or are they just legacy editions you have not upgraded to the larger spools? Thanks for all the insights you always provide. My gear is in dreadful condition compared to yours and you have me looking into upgrades and replacements, and hopefully improved performance.Hope to see you on the ice - which as has been stated, we desperately need!
Yes! Drove by to look at a job a hour ago! I’ll be there New years In my old faithful, if it’s not safe traveling for you yet you know where I’ll be! Won’t be any obese figure skaters fussing with shoehorns neither
And the crazys on ice boats..I may take a ride sunday after new years...just because..I'm sure the brookie factory will be ready for a tank scrubber or 2,if they didn't get them all open water.I'll go check that other lake near bye that has the browns and bows in it..haven't fished that one in awile.. the locals defend that pretty good.
Steve H and I manipulated his new Rolands… maybe he'll post a picture, we swapped out the tin spools for heritage spools,I changed the trough bolt to stainless hardware and locked it in with a self locking nut, changed the nylon spacer so the tang hit the trip wire high and center, then put a self locking wing nut on to retain the spool, so the spool can turn with no drag fut no slop either.. I then swapped out the stiff flag spring for a 26" Jack trap spring... adjusted the trigger post and now it's a fine rainbow trap.. trips very softly and easily.
Pretty sure this is challenging someone to explain themself? This guy!
Wowzer, just try to explain why "ANYONE" needs to take that many rods out onto the ice! Can't wait for your reasoning. Unless of course, you take 5 kids with ya, I think your tilting towards overkill, lol. But, to each his own, I'll stick with 2 or 3 and use these rod protectors I made for about $5.
Either way, take the scenic route from school zones Sizzlechest#8
