Wholesale Bait Co. Needed

The wholesale bait shop I have bought my ice fishing bait from in the past told me that mousee's are not available for the 2021/2022 season and spike's are out of stock until further notice.   Does anyone know of a wholesale bait shop I can contact so I can order 500 - 1000 mousee's and sprikes for my private use this ice season.  I am from Western New York but will send for bait were ever I have too.

They don't have mousee's but they have spikes  and waxies that I get every year at good quality with free shipping.  Jada Bait -ja-dabait.com

I was unable to score mousies this season... Tried Knutson's, Ja-Da's, Speedy worm, Best bait. Nobody has them. My understanding is they are only harvested in central or south america so importing them into the country during covid times is no longer cost effective.

Mousees, aka Rat-tailed maggots, larvae of the drone fly, are an invasive species found in livestock lagoons all around the US, from Florida to Alaska.

I read they're supposed to be super tough too, resilient to pesticides. Anybody wanna go seine a sewage pit and make some extra cash?

How do you keep them? I had a terrible time keeping waxies,  mouses, alive? Grubs I kept in the fridge no problems. My garage is not heated and my cellar is smoking hot from my coal stove.

Yes but order soon ..they get really busy at Christmas time ..and will not ship to your area in a cold snap ..for me that can be from Dec 15th on ..

Honestly their directions on the website are spot on so however it works for you in keeping correct temp and storage size.  I get 1k combo and never run out or worry about not having enough each season and I am a weekend warrior plus some random days thru the week.

Waxies like temps around 45*. Still gonna get some dead ones though. Nature of the beast. Not sure on Mousees.

I ordered a couple thousand spikes a week and a half go from Vados Bait in Minnesota. Bait was in great condition and I don't think I saw one dead spike!
