Garmin Striker 5CV Ice Bundle
« on: Dec 16, 2021, 10:11 PM »
Anyone got any thoughts on the Garmin Striker 5CV Ice Bundle. Considering picking one of these up for the ice fishing season. Was wondering if anyone had any input, thoughts on pros and cons, or anything else. I normally am a lowrance man, but the price seems hard to beat.

You might want to check out this 12 minute video on assembly and use of that unit.  Price seems reasonable.

I fished with someone that had it but in the 7 inch and it worked great down to about 40 feet and at 50 we could not get it to give a clear picture.  I fished with a guide on the Flaming george  and he stated that they him a couple other guides  could not get it to work in deeper water either.  I have to say at under 40 it was wonderful.

Thanks, that is good to know. It conflicts what some of my buddies say that live in NY. They said they were fishing for lake trout in 80ft and could see their jigs. (Who knows if what they are telling me is true or not). I do appreciate the info and it is something to keep in mind. Most of my fishing is in the 20-50 ft range, but would be nice to have the ability to go deeper when I fish Buffalo Bill, Etc....

Awesome. Thanks. Is that on all color settings? From what I have heard you can change color schemes. Thanks for your input.
