I went to change discs on my 4 1/2 '' grinder and the diamond cutting disc on the grinder now seems to be seized to the locking nut .it will not move , i put some liquid wrench on it and plan to let it set a few days , i have changed dozens of discs on this grinder  but never had anything like this . any suggestions greatly appreciated !

Are there flats on the grinder's shaft that you can put a wrench on, or a hole to put something through to lock it in place so you can get this loose?  Can you use a drift punch and hammer to tap it loose?  Maybe post a pic so we can what you're up against.

Try taking a 9/16" open end wrench and grinding it thin enough to fit between the back of the disc and the bearing housing on the grinder. This will hold the shaft still and use a spanner wrench to remove the nut holding the disc on. Once you get the old nut removed replace it with a new nut and trust washer. the threads are likely pulled enough that it will jam again from use.

Hey ougot1. What make is the grinder and is the locking pin holding when you try to loosen?
I can never find the proper wrench for loosen the nuts when i need it. I typically just use a bigger set of channel locks. I don't think I need to get into the proper thread type and which way it should turn. I think what you're needing is leverage, which a big pair of channel locks should provide. GL.

Clamp the blade in the vice to hold it while you go to town with the wrench. ;)

Bring it to a local auto shop and ask them to give it a few raps with an impact gun... We have people wander in the shop all the time asking us to break bolts loose on random stuff, coffee is usually an acceptable barter lol...
