I saw a bunch of people out on mansfield on Sunday anyone know if it survived the snow and rain ?

If you didn't see the open spots before the snow your flirting with life or death it froze funny and went from 4 inches to open water fast

I WAS going to be fishing mansfield today. Then it snowed.- The spot I like freezes early compared to the rest of the res.- but even when there is 8+ inches of ice in the spot I like- I have walked out to the main channell & drilled an inch of ice that moved like waves when my auger popped through-Guys that fished it last weekend were on 3-4 inch of ice in the northern basin- channell spots were unsafe then- lower basin was a no-go then.- I'm giving it another week to harden up- I wouldn't try it this weekend after that big storm.

I fished off the boat launch to the island on the right had 5 to 6 inches everywhere ... guy was out there with a quad ... had two other groups about dead center of the waterway as well
