Hello, I am wonder what a good lake for pout is in central MN. I am from New Ulm, how far north do I have to do to catch Pout? Thanks

Winnie is another good one, good size pout too.  Pretty much any large, deep walleye lake will also be a good pout lake.

I second Mille Lacs for central lakes.  Most tributaries from Superior have a run in late ice too.

I read that this weekend in the deer camp. In the In-Fisherman Ice Fishing Annual.

The fellow wrote that pout are good sized game fish that bite after the pike and walleye are done in mid February. They give you something to chase if you have a hankering to catch something other than panfish and the other game species are not doing good

Central Minnesota is definitely Mille Lacs for Eelpout! The local Indians call them measeye!
