Summit Ice Pole Assembly ?
« on: Jan 04, 2021, 02:59 PM »
Anybody use this for Livescope and have a picture?  I just got this in the mail and I think it’s missing a part since I’m not really sure what it’s supposed to look like and it didn’t come with any instructions.

Any help would be appreciated.

My Summit pole is out in the ice shack, can take a picture tomorrow if you need it.   What part do you think you are missing?

Thanks; it’s the part that holds the pole from falling down the hole; they only sent 1.  The pic looks like there are 3 “wings”.

Yes there are 3 legs that swing out to hold the unit in the hole.  Sorry to hear they goofed up and did not include enough in your package.  The fellow that owns the company was very responsive the two times I ordered from him, have read others have also been impressed with his service.  All you can do is message him, you should get a quick reply.  I will take a picture of mine when I go out later this morning if you still need it.

If you can post a picture of your summit pole parts or how you have it set up, I can tell you if you are missing something.

They really flubbed up your order! the pole is correct, but they doubled up on the plastic pieces and left out the pole supports (legs).  So here is what you have:

The long foldable plastic piece goes on top of the pole, it is used to point direction as well as turn the pole.

The Livescope transducer is bolted to the other piece, bolt the corresponding pieces together using the bolt that came with your transducer, tighten the bolt to the point that you can still tilt the transducer, but it is tight enough to hold into position.  This transducer unit slips over the bottom of the pole using the pin to hold it when in use.

Here is what you need:  What is missing from your package are the 3 foldable plastic arms and the plastic piece they attach too that hold the pole up in the hole.

Contact the supplier and get the correct parts coming, it won't work without them.  When you get the missing parts and put it all together you will find out how slick it all folds for storage.  It is a great unit, you will like it when this mess is straighten up.

Yep, you're definitely missing the legs. He's a great guy, I have bought pretty much everything he has made for the Garmin Livescope setup, and never had a problem, just let him know, he'll fix it.
