Couple other things with these springs. First, I modify mine a bit. I like them "off to the side". So I will bend about 1/2" from the end that attaches to the rod at 90*. Place it on the rod almost straight up and down...cheating it just a little to one side...I like left. Easier for me to see the bite. Secure it with a small piece of tape to hold it , then wrap it several times with sewing thread. Top it off with some nail polish. Second, I bend the loop straight down. The line rests and reels through it better. And last, pinch the loop to open it up to a full circle. The reason? These springs are a bit brittle. If you're not careful, they can break off. So opening the loop also allows you to pull your jig through it before attaching it to the hook keeper. Takes the load off the spring during transport and storing. Just a couple of suggestions for you.
