Dudes - Can we keep politics off limits?
« on: Oct 29, 2020, 09:46 AM »
Dudes can we keep this site politics free? I enjoy fishing - through the ice.

TRT - - I'm not disagreeing with you, but what prompted your post?

I don't see any political posts on this particular board.

Indeed, I see darn few posts of any kind on here for the past several months.

Just wondering.

I think he may have thought the ATV Laws thread was heading south...  ;) In fact if you added sports and religion to a politics ban all there would be left to disagree on would be Marcum v Vexilar v H-Bird v Garmin and that usually stays pretty civil.  ;D
To fish or not to fish? That's a stupid question!

looks to be nuked already... I take it that it got a little heated? just like my buddy heater does in my Clam Guide, which is a better hut than anything that Otter makes???

Ah, got it.

The offending post was evidently removed before I had a chance to see it, so (as I wrote before) I was puzzled by what prompted yours.

I too am "so tired of politics."

My own modest proposal - - Let's abolish the Presidency for the next 4 years, and see how things go.

Assuming it works OK (as I suspect it would), then we can (a) renew the abolition of the Presidency for the next four years, plus (b) extend it to Congress and the federal courts.

If that works, then we can move on to State and local governments.

So much for free speech.....  Glad to see we are working toward practicing a little more tolerancen in the world.  I mean I just read an article on inner city lakes and just feel terrible that the lakes I fish are mostly remote.

Sure, it takes effort to get there as well as being self reliant on the ice.  One has to work hard to find the fish and some days things just don't seem to go your way.  Somehow, I just don't think it would be the same sense of accomplishment if someone just handed me a fish .......
