EYOYO camera quality?
« on: Mar 08, 2020, 10:34 AM »
I've done my fair share of googling, here and abroad, to see if this is a worthwhile addition to the sled. I noticed that they advertise the camera as being IP68 rated. That's only good for 30 minutes at 1.5 meters depth. How's yours holding up? ???

My first impression was that the manufacturer had never gone ice fishing before, and for that matter never even fished before! I was ready to send it back but decided to give it a try. The camera was high quality. The battery lasted longer than I fished (5 hrs.) and still had a 50% charge. I only used it once but was impressed. I've used a camera for 10 years so not a rookie at this. One year warranty.

I have the Eyoyo 4.3 LCD version and have been using it for about 2 months. I have been rather impressed with the camera. Now I must say that this is my first camera so I have nothing to reference it off of but it has done everything I was hoping it would. The only thing I wish it had that the small Recons come with now is the ability to reel up the camera but at the price I paid compared to a Recon, I will put up with winding it by hand. It will probably be in the boat with me this season as well.

Its pretty good. The "Unit" quality (ie the case its in and the components that make it up) arent as "ice orientated" as say a marcum, but the difference in price is significant and appears to work just as well.

Don't know about current models but my old 2014 model is still working. I use it every time out and for under $100 (then) can't complain. Color quality isn't greatest under low light or low battery conditions but it has held up for me.

Do these cams have the same capabilities as say a Marcum, an RCA video out jack (yellow), and AC adapter to plug into a wall socket?  I bought a TV for my ice house, thinking I'd watch normal programming on it, but I love watching my cam on it all day, especially since the lake I fish has cribs and every species of fish show up. I love seeing a big musky or pike come in. It's like being on a deer stand and a big buck steps out into the field.
I don't post on IceShanty often, but when I do - #Legendary

Absolutely love mine. I use it for lake trout on a crystal clear lake and can see upwards of 30 feet on it.
