Rough Morning but Good Afternoon!
« on: Feb 06, 2020, 03:35 PM »
Hey Everyone! :)

Recently, my buddy and I went up to Rifle Gap to chase the really early morning bite. Unfortunately, the main spot we wanted to hit was pretty sketch. Ice looked patchy and about one hundred yards past that it was open water. We decided to hit the dam area and had no luck. I had one small bite toward the bottom and my buddy didn't get anything. After 3 hours of moving around the vicinity and not marking any fish, we decided to move to Harvey Gap.

The sun was shining bright in the sky by the time we got there. We went over toward the waterfall area and fished right where it starts to turn into a cove. I was targeting perch, while my buddy was going for whatever. We found a good spot for perch (and lots of stocker bows) and decided to turn our episode into a catch and cook. We prepared the perch two different ways. The first was of course fried ;D and the second was a fish stock, that turned out really really good!

The biggest perch I caught that day were around 6 1/2 -7", nothing really spectacular to look at. I did catch a rainbow that looked like it just escaped a pike or musky though :o!
Not the best pics but I Hope you guys enjoy the video!! If you do enjoy, please like and subscribe ;D
Shoutout to Pathway for the video idea! :)
