I used to fish it alot. Over the years like most lakes its fished out. It used to have lots of decent size fish. Last ice season a guy caught a really big eye there. It was like 8lbs. Over the years I have caught some eye's there.  The last few times I have taken my boat there it sucked !!

Thanks for the response.  I am about 40 min from Struble so I will give it a shot.

I've had worse luck there than Capt. ... Fished it hard in the 80's-90's along with a few trips in the 00's. Caught a few decent bass, catfish and once got into nice perch ... no walleyes for me and no nice crappies(tons of shorts).  Mostly a very shallow, featureless mud bowl type of lake.

The problem with the gene pool is that there is no lifeguard.

I live 20 min. from Struble but rarely fish it. It's reputation is for small crappie and that's what I've caught there. Like most lake around here it probably has some larger fish but they will likely be hard to locate.
