not line through but along sides held in place by 2 rubber slide ons at bottom stem and top stem once on line you can slide them up or down with slides on

Looks like they're still making 'em: https://www.amazon.com/Thill-Mini-Shy-Bite-Float-4BB/dp/B00019N7V4?th=1&psc=1

Met Mick back when he came to the States to promo his floats way before Lindy got 'em. Spent half the day and learned a lot. Very engaging guy

Is Essex correct in what you want. I used to work where all the Thill floats were made.

That's a curiosity then OG. I don't recall seeing Thills in that design bigger around. Got some fat Stealth floats but they're more of a waggler style. I even looked in my box of floats to see if I had anything close and there is not. And yes, after hawg-jawin' with Mick for half a day I left with a pile of balsa  ;)

I'll keep my eyes open but I think it's gonna be tough. Good luck!

Esox I  had the pleasure of meeting Mick too. I was surfing and found some info on him and his line. Sold to LindyLittle Joe 1999. Then Lindy sold to PRADCO in 2008. Seems PRADCO scoops up a lot of companies. I did not know Mick passed. Some of the stories are great; I really like the one where he stored 25 lbs. of spikes in the hotel bathtub before a big competition. The search goes on maybe post in IL will turn something up. I'm thinking I could switch from spikes to small shiners or big fatheads real quick out on the ice. Will have to be careful though with my light line setting hook and playing fish.
