Converse Bay

Anyone been out on Converse Bay. Would like to try for lakers this week. Any info on ice conditions would be appreciated. Thanks

There's about 9 inches of solid clear ice on the bay. There's a pressure crack that runs north to south from just east of Picket Island down to Garden Island. You have to be careful where you cross that, but the ice was good west of there, out to around Picket. It's locked up good further west in the broad lake, but it's refrozen lumpy ice chunks of questionable integrity. People were on the inner bay with wheelers today.
