Walleye\lakers
« on: Feb 20, 2019, 03:21 PM »
Anyone fish walleye through the ice?!

After catching some lakers on Caspian I have a bit of new species fever!!

Anyone know the behavior of walleye during ice season? I know they predominantly feed in the hour before and after sunrise and the same with sunset.. Do they stay in the weed beds similar to,summer or should I focus on Rocky bottoms? Just something I've been contemplating trying during hard water..

Also, if anyone has a general location on Champlain that has a good chance at Lakers I would be forever grateful! I live in Milton so usually fish the Georgia shore\van everest area.. But would be willing to drive an hour or so.. Thanks in advance..

I got a couple secret white perch areas id be willing,to share if someone wanted to trade info for info!

Lake carmi for walleyes. A small minnow just off the bottom from 15-30' of water. The night bite was always better than the day bite for me there.

If you're fishing Van Everest, the ice is good all over there now, so take a hike over to the deep drop off on north side of Savage Island from that shallow reef, set up tip ups with bait just off bottom, you might find them there :)
