Ice Fishing Friends:

Was anyone out on Scotts Run Lake recently?   Any luck on trout?   Powerbait, waxworms, minnows?  Any Intel would be appreciated.   Thinking about giving it a try this afternoon.

I actually checked it out a few weeks ago and the lake is drained down 6 ft for dam and spillway repair. I wasn't aware of the draw down. Not much water in. Some guys have been fishing it but not much success from what I hear. I don't fish for trout but I know they didn't stock it for the winter because of the draw down. Hope this helps.

SO my son and I went to lake yesterday,  nice afternoon with warm weather.  Caught some crappie and pickerel.  No trout,  they were stocked in the spring.   We had approximately 5 inches(4 inches some places) of ice that was melting right under our feet.   I'm afraid most southern lakes will become unsafe this week except for those that had 9-12 inches of ice, north(pocono) and west.   Southeast PA ice will be gone or unfishable.  Pocono ice should hold with edges getting soft.   Well, at least we got out,  that was nice.  I'll try Poconos end of week.
