Has the river been producing? Been wanting to head east but keep hearing the river has been ok but a lot of sub legal fish. I’m on foot otherwise I’d fish the bay itself

Ive been there 3 times so far and seem to mark more fish than at the mouth so far but no legal fish either place for me yet

Fished the mouth today. Quite a few sub legal fish, otherwise slow.. Pulled two 17".  Not terrible.
