How much ice is needed for a skid house?

Built a 6x6 skid house that weights approximately 250lbs. How many inches of ice would you recommend before pulling it out.

I wouldn't put it out on less than 5-6 inches of clear ice!! I had an old 6X8 and put it out on 4-5 inches, but I was much younger and foolish then! Err on the side of safety!!! :icefish:

That's that plan, no foolishness and safety first. I was thinking at least 7in.  Thanks for you input.

5-6 inches is more than plenty!! If you and a buddy can stand close together with no problem, the runners spread the weight out more than that!!!
