Was out in -18 few years ago in Indian lake NY.Quads didn't want to start and we had to use grill to keep beer from freezing

Patchy blowing snow. Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near -10. Wind chill values between -40 and -50. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Wednesday Night
Partly cloudy, with a low around -23. Wind chill values between -40 and -45. West wind 10 to 15 mph.
Thursday
Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near -6. Wind chill values between -35 and -45. West wind 5 to 15 mph.

Evil Tom, are you talking about Indian Lake in the Adirondacks, if you are that is one beautiful place, been there many times. It could be a real cold place with low temps in the winter. How did you do fishing Indian Lake?

straight temps?  who cares....but when you pair it with wind, that will destroy you.  If there is no wind temps can be super low, i wouldn't care.  Just need to use the hole covers or all your tip ups will be frozen in haha

Beartracks didn't fish Indian lake that's this year.Every year a group of us goes to the town of Indian lake to stay and ice fish usually a tournament.This year it's on Indian lake.We usually catch alot of these

it's never too cold....always 50 deg in my ice shanty  ;D. I fished  minus 28 deg F upstate NY once, not possible without a shelter IMO.
