Aqua View Scout XL - Educate me
« on: Jan 20, 2019, 03:56 PM »
I came into a nice used one of these things. Cool little gadget for sure, powers right up and works. What should I expect? Will it work OK without sunlight penetrating through the ice (We have 15 inches of snow on 7-10" of ice. How do I keep the camera where I need it? How do I keep the top flap of the soft case away from the screen? Thanks in advance. It will be a day or two until I can try it out

aqua-vu has a cheap manual tripod that you can set up over the hole. Locks the camera at the depth you want then you can use it to pan around 360 degrees to get a view of what is down there. hope this helps
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to ice fish, have his wife mad for ever.

MoPod or Ice Pode from Aqua Vu will work for rotation ...point camera up/down 45 deg..helps with viewing ...do this with zip ties unless there is another method ..also a sounder weight clipped to bottom sometimes helps.
