Hi team,
When on a big lake is it better to fish shallow, drop offs or deep center. I will be targeting lake trout mostly.
Or is this just personal preference.

There really is no go to. I have one lake I Fish no deeper than 17 ft. One that I fish deep over holes but the but up top and some on the edges of drop right on them. Trial and error per said lake. I think if I was going in blindly I would target the drops and humps however. Send me a message on the lake and maybe I can throw some info to ya if you’d like

Pm sent, good cusk there too. You will get salmon bycatch and the occasional nice rainbow. Some yellows, never whites.
