Anyone have experience using Tuf-line micro coated braid on tip ups? Description says good for tip ups just wondering if anyone has used this before I buy a bulk spool, I usually use 40-50 lb tip up line for Pike

I wouldn't use braid. It's too thin and can cut you to the bone, plus braid has poor abrasion resistance and can cut from rubbing against the ice during the fight. I like using 80lb Dacron on my tipups for pike.

I just looked into the tuf-line ice braid and I didn't realize how thick it was, it says 50lb is as thick as 40lb mono so it's much thicker than other braid. It will probably work well but I'd go with the 80lb.

Ive always used woodstock squidding line. Great strength, durability and it doenst get tangled up when you have a big pile of it on the ice.
