Ice should be fine, was at Center pond in Becket Sunday 15" solid ice.

Center pond-i ice fished in april one year--seems to hold ice well--how did you do?

(4) Pickerel 12" to 14" and a few other small ones. Seemed like some small fish were toying with the bait because I lost about the same amount as I caught. Becket is one cold and windy place!

i Know what you mean camoman that ice doesnt melt that fast some people just do not realize it last year i was on comet pond in hubbardston on april 3 and 4 for my last 2 trips and the year before that i was at the same place april 1st so people just dont realize how long it takes for ice to melt.

yea, to bad comet is half open... same with forte.. if it was a GOOD winter with solid cold temps... this has had to be one of the worse winters iv fished!! still got 27 trips with iced fish :-) hope to make that 30!!  -moose
