Lime Lake???
« on: Mar 03, 2006, 07:16 PM »
Wondering if anyone has been fishing Lime Lake and if so how you're doing. Would like to get the 2 grandsons out Sunday PM and am wondering about ice conditions. Has the snow done any damage?

I dont know if i would take kids to lime but i fished it last week. The ice was forming real weird 6 inches in one spot and 3 in another spot less than 15ft away.I heard also that a dec officer gave a guy a ticket for having his kids out there.Whether or not that is true i didnt see it.We managed 45 gills and 1 calico see my pics on the report site.My buddy lives on the lake and says there has been guys out there everyday. There has got to be more ice than last week even with all the snow.

Jerry- That lake is known for it's dangerous springs.
If you don't know it well I would advise against taking the kids.
Just a friendly word of caution...

Thanks for the concern, guys. These kids are 7 & 12 and really like the ice. I'd hate to have anything happen to "dampen" their enthusiasm.
Maybe Conesus would be the better bet. I'll have to check the reports .
Thanks again.
