Night Fishing?

A guy at my work said it was illegal to ice fish at night.True or false?

I dont think so but check with the regulations. I ve seen a bunch of people night fishing on Newton pond aka mud pond in shrewsbury and boylston

In Mass. it's legal. in Maine it's a no-no except for cusk and smelt on specific lakes.

there can't be a law on this. how are they going to tell you when you can fish and can't. if you have good ice in december, you can't fish morning because it's still dark. walleyes are caught alot at night. I ice fish saratoga lake and night fishing is a must with giant walleyes in there. there's nite derbies. nite fishing might be more dangerous though.
