Anyone fish island pond

Hi everyone iv been a guest to this site for along time now and finally joined.  Iv been thinking about giving island pond in Brighton a shot this weekend.  Iv never fished it but have heard there's walleye in there.  Curious as if theres smelt.  Anyone ever fished island pond?  Any tips or suggestions are much appretiated!

Yes there is smelt.

Welcome! If you are after smelt, they are there. Have got them right in town at the outlet into the Clyde River.

I've only fished it a couple of times and all we've caught is pickerel and perch.

All in the 20-24 inch range, bite was slow but it was a great time, you can drive anywhere you want, tons of ice!
