Alcove marina (schuylerville)

Haven't seen a report for this little fun area so I figured I would post on it. Ice has been locked up through the cove for 2 weeks now with about 8 inches currently. Fishing has been very productive and steady as to be expected with a catch and release spot. Gills, crappie, and northerns are plentiful but the walleyed have been rather elusive so far this season. Only have had 3 or 4 out of the hole so far.

is the marina still allowing/charging for parking? I heard it changed ownership.

That is what I am wondering as well! Had a great time out there when I was there, it has just been a while.

The reason you don’t see a report is because it’s a small spot and most people that fish it use their discretion when talking on the internet.  You need to pay to access it via the ramp, otherwise it’s posted property.

It did indeed restaurant and bar open as well its a buddy of mine trying to set up a couple ice fishing tournaments as we speak hoping to be able to have big payouts

The restaurant/bar has taken over new ownership and allows people to park there free as long as the property is respected. The old parking space straight ahead of where you pull in cannot be used anymore. The owner does not want people parking on his property.

Fishings been good. solid ice. Please park at the marina as to many people have disrespect the parking spot at my aunts when you pull straight in.  unless you are family or have permission form her personally not that your fathers brothes got permission back in Vietnam. that don't fly anymore   we are cracking down   guess people cant read the no trespassing signs.  But other then that yea we been tight lipped during the early ice  but words out now.  Pike bite been hot tons of small crappie, walleye been good buddy lost walleye of lifetime as it was halfway out the hole.  Those of you that know me feel free to hmu will get out do some fishing

I have been telling everyone I see parking there and all I get is attitude.   We are just so fortunate to still have access at the Marina.   Gotta enjoy it while we can before the slobs ruin it for us.   Filled up a couple shopping bags with empty wrappers and beer cans this summer there at the beaverdam and last winter on the ice.   Absolutely ridiculous.
